GTA 6's Launch Trailer Arrived With Justice, SZA and a Flower in a Hurricane

Rockstar spent years letting GTA 6 leak, pose on magazine covers and buy stadium screens. On October 15 it finally posted the thing with its own name on it: the launch trailer.

The song is the part people kept replaying. Flower in a Hurricane is a new single from Justice, the French electronic duo, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard on it. Rockstar’s own line calls Justice the original score composers, so this is the music under the missions, alongside whatever the radio stations end up playing. The track also sits on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original songs built around Vice City and the rest of Leonida. Streaming pre-saves are up. Vinyl and CD are up for pre-order.

Jason gets the first word, and it is not a heist pitch. He says he got in some trouble in the Army and did not leave on the best of terms. They do not give loans to people like him. Then a collect call: Lucia Caminos, asking if they are going to be okay, because they have stuck together through everything. The job that goes wrong, the conspiracy across Leonida, the pink city at night, all of that is still the frame. The trailer just puts a voice on the man who already looked like he had a file.

November 19 has not moved. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, preload on November 12, $79.99 on the pre-order page. A launch trailer more than a month out is an odd calendar for a game this size. Rockstar has already shown the longer gameplay look. This one is the poster: two people, a bad exit from the service, and a song big enough to live outside the trailer.
