Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac got its launch trailer at PlayStation’s September State of Play - Bolivar Trask, mutant-hunting programs, and the Sentinels front and center. Release: September 15 on PS5. Fully playable on disc at launch, which somehow feels rebellious in 2026.
Why the hype is sticky
Insomniac already owns Spider-Man on consoles. Handing them Wolverine is like giving a chef another knife and asking them not to cook something dangerous. Trailer energy: serrated claws, Sentinel fights, X-Men mythology smashed into a single-player revenge machine.
