Spider-Man Opens in Europe Today - US Still Waiting Until Friday
Brand New Day hits Germany, Italy and more on July 29. India and others July 30. US theaters July 31. Final trailer still looping, tickets still disappearing.
If you live in Berlin, Rome, or Manila, tonight you can watch Peter Parker remember how lonely a city feels when nobody remembers you.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens July 29 in early markets - Germany, Italy, the Philippines, Finland and a handful of others. July 30 for India, Australia, Argentina, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ukraine. The US still waits for Friday, July 31.
That staggered rollout is Sony’s usual global chess. It also means European timelines will spoil American ones by Wednesday night unless you live under a rock with Wi-Fi off.
What people are buying tickets for
Tom Holland’s fourth solo swing. Zendaya back as MJ in a world that forgot the guy in the suit. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in the mix. A villain you literally cannot see. Runtime about 2 hours 25 minutes, PG-13, Destin Daniel Cretton directing.
The final trailer from last week still does the rounds: diner coffee, MJ trusting the warning, Hulk with “No Banner,” Sadie Sink’s shapeshifter tease. Enough emotion to sell a date night. Enough mystery to stop the Reddit detectives from sleeping.
The mood in the group chats
MCU fatigue is real. So is Spider-Man exception status. People who skipped the last two multiverse headaches still want this one because the premise is simple: lonely hero, city that moved on, invisible threat.
Premium formats are already ugly on ticket apps. IMAX and 4DX blocks for opening weekend look like Swiss cheese.
If you are in an early-release country - enjoy the smugness. If you are in the US - mute spoilers for 48 hours and pretend Europe does not exist. That usually fails by Thursday lunch.
