Analyst estimates put Marvel’s Wolverine at 1.9 million copies and about $130 million in three days - already the best new PlayStation Studios PS5 release of 2026, ahead of Marathon, Saros, and friends. Not Spider-Man 2’s absurd 2.5 million day-one pace. Still a real launch for an 18-rated claw simulator.

Metacritic around 77 - Insomniac’s softest non-DLC score in a decade. Streamers and forums roasted the hand-holding, especially Logan’s scent trails, instantly rebranded “fart gas.” Insomniac already promised tweaks. Mainstream buyers, as usual, did not wait for the discourse to finish its bit.
Physical sales share looked healthy for 2026. US led. Holiday and GTA VI PS5 hardware bump could stretch the tail. Analysts say evergreen Spidey this is not - more “keeps selling, lumpier.”
